Not 100% what the '4 models' refers to, but...

That's great info! I'd been wondering about some of those differences.

Re: Fender Japan jazzmaster specs
Indeed, all Japanese Fender made Jaguars and Jazzmaster have a 7.25" radius.
Neck profiles differ over the years. But all are within range of vintage/AVRI specs.
The Older MIJ Jazzmaster had somewhat thinner necks, where the CIJ and newer MIJ have a bit thicker necks.
All fretboards are veneer style.
Only the japanese B&B necks have the old style Jm headstock (pre- 65) instead of the bigger CBS style Jm headstock found on vintage B&B necks.

Does anyone know the nut width of the 1988-1996 Japanese Jazzmasters? Can't find it anywhere.

I don't know for certain, but I'd guess 1 5/8

Re: Fender Japan jazzmaster specs
I am also aware of a few more things on the Earlier MIJs.
1) I had a MIJ Ltd edition Blonde/Gold Jazzmaster. The tuners on that were definitely MIJ Gotoh clones of tuners as they had 'Japan' stamped on the underside.
2) As well as the metal hardware being slightly thinner, the MIJ/CIJ 'Fender' logo embossed on the tremolo tailplate uses a slightly different script font from the USA model. The spring action is also not as heavy but seems to work OK.
3) The main pickup selector switch on the Jazzmaster has a round securing nut with serated edges on the MIJ/CIJ model. USA models are secured with a traditional looking hex nut. The switch is a generic manufacturer on MIJ/CIJ models. USA models are Switchcraft.
4)Japanese Jazzmaster pickup covers are actually more accurate copies than the USA reissues - MIJ/CIJ are white nylon with a fairly matt texture. The real vintage models are the same and don't yellow that much. The USA reissues are an offwhite/creamish colour with a glossy texture - good quality but the MIJ/CIJ are more like the originals.
5) Decals lack the patent numbers on MIJ/CIJ JMs and are underneath the clearcoat. USA and real vintage are applied on top of the clearcoat. Only on the very latest Japanese issue (not in the table above) have they started applying the decals over the finish.
6) MIJ/CIJ master vol and tone are always Strat knobs whereas some USA and Mexican models have 'witchhat' or 'amp' style knobs if based on '65 or later.
7) The real vintage bridge base has small 'domes' on the height adjustment holes. I've only ever seen this replicated on the Mastery bridge. I think the slotted ridges on the MIJ/CIJ saddles may also be a bit different as well but cannot remember exactly how.

Re: Fender Japan jazzmaster specs
Just a precision : on the latest (Traditional 60's) japanese Jazzmasters, the main switch is a Switchcraft, with an hex nut, as on US ones, the serial number and Made in Japan are stamped on the back of the headstock, and the pickguards are parchment and not stark white. As Marc said, headstock decals are now applied on the finish.
The radius is 7.25, the neck shape is D, the pickups are Japanese Jazzmaster pups (i.e. : Strat pickups under Jazzmaster covers).
