Fender Custom

Post by Taylorplayer » Tue Jun 19, 2007 7:43 pm

Hey Guys I might have found one for sale... Planning on buying it... seems like a good deal, but I'm not sure what it's worth..

all original, no whammy bar, with case, sunburst w/tort...

Can someone ballpark the value of the thing for me?
Need some XII pickup covers....

My best guess is this...

I have my eye on a gutted Swinger body and neck myself, but my heart belongs to a '65 Musicmaster II that sits next to it in a local guitar store.

They're so rare that it's hard to find others to compare, pricewise. i guess if it's a figure you feel comfortable paying, go ahead and do it. you can always get a replacement trem arm, it's only a mustang arm after all.

Something makes me think that a fellow forumite got his a year or so ago fro $1000 on US eBay (needs refin). What was the price of the one in the (now-pulled) ad?

"You Rang?" (said in my best Lurch voice).
Yep, that's what I got my Maverick for.  And most recently, one of our members sold his black refined Custom, I want to say it sold for around 1500 usd.

Nope... It was in vancouver, asking $1200Canadian, original finish 2nd owner, with case...

I'm really disapointed. I was all twitchy hoping for the email. I bought a jazzmaster yesterday to ease the twitchiness. So I have a nice JM now.

But I REALLLLY wanted both.... I'm such a whore.

You're not too bad of a whore...

I am buying a "65 Musicmaster II on Saturday, and the store also has a Swinger body and neck without any form of electronics, and I am thinking about finangling a move to get both. Do you or someone you know own a Swinger? I didn't think so...

lol.... nope...

but I'm prgressing well... since March 17th, when I joined... a 1966 Electric XII project and various parts, a early 90s USA Tele Plus body and hardware, then the pickups for it, a Squire Venus to cannablaize and now a mIJ Seafoam Jazzmaster... she'll divorce me if I continue this trend.
