Not at all, go ahead!
Thanks a lot Orang, most people there (me included) clamor for any new pics we can get, this is a mini jackpot  :)

Cool :). As said, I should have some others, I'll see if I can scan the negs. IIRC, that whole film was a bit underexposed, which is why these look a bit funny colour-wise. I'm probably a bit more skilfull with making corrections in photoshop now, so maybe I can salvage some more.

It looks like a Drawmer DS201 Dual Noise Gate to me:

It figures, what with all the distortion she put on her bass :)

Just found the negs. Unfortunately, the negative scanner I have at my disposal seems to have developed some kind of fault, so there's a horizontal line in all the scans. Ah well.

I think these are the best MBV pics I have ever seen  :?

Thanks for the praise guys, although personally I don't like my use of the flash gun.

Anyway, going over my negatives I found some cool stuff, all from the early '90s. I guess I'll start a "boys with offsets" thread to counterbalance the girls one. At tyhe risk of hijacking the thread, here are a few that have absolutely nothing to do with MBV or offsets (well, Blixa plays one).

Those photos are marvelous - thanks a lot again for scanning & posting them here Orang, it's very much appreciated! :)
I have a question for you about the pics of Lush and The Cramps - were these by any chance taken by you at the 'Paradiso' as well, and specifically was the pic of Poison Ivy taken when The Cramps played at the 'Paradiso' during their 'Look Mom No Head'-tour in 1991?
If yes, then it really seems that we must have been crossing paths - unbeknownst to each other - quite often in the early 90's, as I also attended the concerts that both bands gave there in the early 90's...

Yeah, I think so. IIRC the opening act for the Cramps was called "haunted garage" and had an Alice-Cooper type show with lots of blood, breasts, and rubber masks.

Have yoyu by any chance also seem them in the Jaap Eden Hal9in the same period?

Yep, 'Haunted Garage' was indeed the opening act when The Cramps played at the Paradiso on November 19th & 20th 1991, and I attended the concert they gave on Wednesday the 20th...the VPRO featured a live broadcast of that very concert, and my mom was kind enough to tape the live radio-transmission for me that evening (I still have both tapes, by the way... ;));
Orang Goreng wrote: Have you by any chance also seen them in the Jaap Eden Hal in the same period?
No, unfortunately not - I however just checked the German Cramps-homepage which has a pretty extensive overview of their concerts  http://www.cramps.de/tourdates/tour-1990-1999.htm  and according to the info there The Cramps played at the Jaap Eden Hal on Friday March 9th 1990 (with Jesus Jones as their support act)...the only concert I ever attended at this particular venue was when the Pixies played there in - I believe - 1991...

Heheh. A couple of friends & I started a band at that gig! Hmm, wonder if I ever photographed the back of your head. I have lots of shots of the backs of people's heads at gigs.
