Mustang

I have a 1965 Mustang and I tried to put my Strat's trem arm in and it wouldn't fit. My trem doesn't seem to have any threading inside. Please help..

Mustang's don't.

They have an adjustment screw on the bottom i.e. the side towards the control knobs. The original trem arm is without threads.

Strat trem arms aren't the best for these simply because the lower section meant to go into the block is too long. You end up with arm sticking out too high and at a goofy angle, though it could work in a pinch.

I don't think Mustang arms are much more than 15 bucks, anyway.

The reissue trem bars are pretty easy to find and are cheap. Make sure to get one specifically for US / vintage Mustangs - all of the modern ones are Japanese, and the bars are sized a bit differently (metric vs imperial).
