I am really liking the new guitar. It is one of those limited edition models imported by FMIC from Fender Japan that people are buying up lately. Bridge, pickups, and plastic trim parts are replacements. New AVRI trem assy. on its way, though the stock part is adequate. Inaugural outing is at an out-of-town show this weekend. I hope it hacks; wish me luck. Well not much more to report, I guess, so how about a little porn:

Seems like we have an increasing number of very skillful photographers on board. The P0rn pics keep getting better. I have absolutely no use fo a guitar like that, but the pic makes me want to buy it..

In my humble opinion, tort only looks good on Oly White and Sunbursts.

Tort would make it look like the guitar in my avatar... but it's not really period-correct, so I wouldn't expect either Fender Japan or FMIC to put it on a guitar they're calling a 66 reissue.

It's not really a '66 reissue. Perhaps they're marketing it that way, but these aren't meant to be strict reissues. The headstock size, decal, and control knobs are all wrong, not to mention the usual incorrect specs the Japanese Jazzmasters already have going for them.

None of that matters to me...I still bought two of them. ;D
