I was wondering the same thing. It almosts looks like it is made of lots of layers sandwiched together. I think it looks really neat.

I'm curious about the neck as well, I've never seen one like this before but it feels really good and looks straight from what I can tell. I'm going to take it to my tech this week so I'll ask for his input on it.. I wish I could find a roller saddle to fit rather than a whole new bridge, do they look like anything else out there from what any of you can tell?

well I took it down to my tech the other day and he noticed that the bridge was the same as one from an old Guild of his so I expanded my search and found three completed auctions from the same seller for what ended up being a Schaller/Guild #10

for the hell of it I asked if he had another bridge or even a spare roller saddle I could buy.. I didn't expect to even get an answer but an hour later I got a reply saying he had a saddle and asked for my address.. no charge. It just showed up yesterday and looks correct so I think I got extremely lucky finding the needle in the haystack first try.. I'm going to drop it off in the next few days and provided it doesn't need anything more than a set up and nut replacement I should be able to pick it up that day or not too long after

The kindness of strangers is definitely an awesome thing. That is really, really cool!! I'm anxious to hear what you think about the sound after it's up and running.

Yeah .. when I got my Eko Ranger XII given to me it had a few tuners missing and they look to be quite a specific part. I went to a local store and asked the guy if he had anything that would fit. He got a box of spare parts from out the back and after a bit of rummaging came up with the exact tuners and gave them to me for free!
