They do, apparently. There's one here .. I think there was another thread about them as well but I can't find it right now.

This (1962) Jaguar's purple sparkle finish is supposedly factory-original :

Although the colours look completely different in these pics, it appears to be the same Jaguar - the (finish) damage on the guitar's bass side is located on the same spot, plus the pickguard's pattern appears to be the same as well.

I would love to own this guitar's Jazzmaster-counterpart, preferably with a matching headstock... ;)

This 1961 Jazzmaster is featured on rocknrollvintage.com's website, and its silver sparkle finish is apparently also factory-original...

Grant From Feeder has a Silver Sparkle JM that he supposedly hasn't refinned, and he bought in the 90's. Maybe an original, maybe not

Hmm thought the rule was if it's custom colour and it has a tortoishell scratch then it probably aint original?

That is most certainly not the case, eggwheat - there were plenty of factory-original offsets made with a.o. Blonde, Olympic White, Burgundy Mist Metallic, Candy Apple Red etc. finishes with tortoiseshell pickguards.
