Its the first lacquer guitar i've had,but a friends lacquer gibson never went like this.It could just be my individual guitar like you said tho.i love sharin foo wrote:
Yeah, they used poly until they stopped production on all of those. FWIW, I have had and do have a lot of nitro finished guitars and I've never had any of the problems that you've described with yours. I don't think it is totally the fault of the lacquer itself but more a combination of that and the conditions it's been in over the years. Have you ever had the same problem with another lacquer finished one? Or just your Mustang?

The parts of laquer that bothers me is the green parts which is alot on my mustang and go opaque the second its touched,it smudges when you wipe it,its fucked
Yea some expensive guitars hey.I watch a lot of these stores in the hope to get a bargain but when a cheap one does come up i seem to be broke
