Tortise shell or plain colored pickguards

Tort is not for me.  Only like it on a sunburst or a white shade.  Mint guards are my fave, followed by white.

Up until a few years ago I was a mint only man. But now I just love the tort guards on almost anything (still can seem to like the tort on LPB and OTM). In fact I just bought a new AVRI JM guard to slap on my MIJ CAR until the refinish happens!

  I had to vote for tort even though I currently have a black on my sunburst JM.  I prefer it on every other Fender, paritcularly with natural!!!

oh man, a white jazz with a tort guard? i could die happy hah.

basicaly white, black, sunburst, man, i dunno. i guess the only color i dont like tort on is like green. but i havent seen a green jag/jazz with tort recently..

I like the anodized guard with a 3TS, so my favorite look has to the Sea Foam green with red tortoise guard. Man, that looks good.

I can't vote. Too tough. I can't think of any combos that I really don't care for. I'm not wild about tort with CAR, but every time I see one, I still go "ooooh". I like tort best with lighter colors + black + 3TS.

I think I like white/mint better on guitars with matching headstocks.

I'm really liking my gold on IBM. I'm thinking about losing the ketchup/mustard guard on my LE and doing this to it. It just screams "Pablo Cruise!" or something. It cracks me up in a good way.
