Bass VI Parts and Jag Bass VI parts Interchangeable??

I thought I was going to get lucky. I thought possibly that the lower control plate for the Jag Bass VI would be close to the Bass VI if you simply flipped it over. Well, it's close, but no cigar. Dave Lowell sent me a tracing of a Bass VI plate and the JB VI is longer and stays wider before it goes to the point. The upper pot hole lines up, the second pot is about 1/4 inch too low and the jack is a tad more than a 1/4 inch. You could put the jag bass plate on a grinder and grind it to pretty good shape, then have it recromed and really, you got a control plate. You'd want to have it rechromed then most likely. If no one was looking though, you really probably could not tell, unless you had two side by side..
