apart from Sunburst, I've only ever seen pics of Olympic White, and Ice Blue Metallic with tortoise shell guards on an Electric XII.....but who knows...maybe a BBM with tortoise shell existsFall reverb wrote: What about this potentially 'yummy' one - a Fender Electric XII in Burgundy Mist Metallic with matching headstock & tortoise scratchplate.
Has anyone ever seen one?

If one actually exists I'm sure it's one of the rarest XII's on the planet...it's a pity that the 'Dressing Room' doesn't offer the possibility (yet?) to create variations of a 'XII', because I would love to see how this guitar would look!zhivago wrote: Apart from Sunburst, I've only ever seen pics of Olympic White, and Ice Blue Metallic with tortoise shell guards on an Electric XII.....but who knows...maybe a BBM with tortoise shell exists

Well, the idea here is offsets that we know for a fact actually exist, we just don't have here at the forum. So a BMM XII is a great example, if ever there actually was/is one. Or something.

Re: A few that we're missing...
I've got a Jaguar in Burgundy Mist Metallic with matching headstock...............but it'a a reissue :-\stereordinary wrote: I was just thinking about this last nite, and then the Antigua thread pushed me over the edge.
Between the lot of us we have a ton of offsets in a ton of colors, ranging from all-original to heavily modified. But, there's still some that we're missing. What I mean is that nobody here has one. If we ever had a convention of our own, it would still be a little incomplete. Even with Zhivago's '61s, Justin and Jay's new XIIs, Alfred's VIs and so many other beautiful guitars to name we'd only have three-quarters of a convention.
I'll start the list:
A Jaguar in Burgundy Mist Metallic with matching headstock.
A Black Starcaster.
A an Antigua offset-anything.
A Marlin-Burst Jazzmaster.
A Shoreline Gold Bass VI (sorry Alfred). :P
I'm sure there's many others that we could think of. Let the fun begin, and the GAS explode!

Didn't Curtis refin a jag in BMM once?
Times change. Remember when dog Jimmy used to go white and chalky? Now it grows hair! We got used to it. We'll get used to poly. -blueavenger

Yes, I've seen pictures of Chris Novak BMM Jaguar before...I believe it had a non-matching headstock.
