White one = MIJ with SD Antiquity II p'ups.  Sunburst one is 2004 MIA 62 RI.

I loves them dearly.  Finally got them together for a pic :)

That guard on the white one looks quite good.  Is that a replacement?

How do the two compare?
Times change.  Remember when dog Jimmy used to go white and chalky?  Now it grows hair!  We got used to it. We'll get used to poly. -blueavenger

Goodness, that is a great-looking guard.

Do you mind me asking where you picked it up?

Meaning a pickguard from a vintage Jazzmaster?

All I've seen for aftermarket pickguards is that ugly brown tortoise shell.  I can't stand it.

On eBay.  It's an AllParts replacement guard.

Well he already said it, but yeah, allparts guard, not vintage. They're similar if not the same as the ones usually found on early mij/cij guitars.

I have the knobs, I just have a hum problem which needs to be amended before I get it all back together ;)

I see, hum is synonomous with Jazzmasters, but Sonic Youth have made it good in my books
