A blue Jag Bari?
Hi all,
Perhaps you offset connaisseurs can help me out with this
I'm being offered a Jaguar Baritone, but I'm nog sure if it's a real or fake Fender. Problem is, I've only seen them in 3t sunburst. The color on this one looks like LPB to me. Sure does look pretty! But what makes me a bit suspicious is the decal. It looks so different to the 'regular' Jag Bari decal I've seen. Furthermore it doesn't have this small 'baritone custom' logo on the end of the headstock. The seller says it's 100% original, but couldn't tell the serial number (i don't know why). What do you guys think, real or fake?

It looks like a genuine Fender instrument, but one that's been refinned.. The decal's an obvious replacement.

Yeah, looks like a refin to me. Doesn't look like any Fender LPB either.

It's not about the gear! It's about you, your hands, your imagination, your feelings.

Funny you posted that. I was just looking at one of those in the other thread about those being supposedly discontinued - I opened the MF link and started thinking about how low the price would have to be before I bought one to justify refinning it in Blue!

My favorite finishes are (have always been) blues. I seem to have more in some sort of Green these days, though.

Thanks for your advice folks
So far the seller is convinced it's not a refin (or at least pretending to be). I guess he won't lower his price, but this board will be the first to know if I'll be able to snag it for a good price.JazzBlaster wrote: still be a good deal if you could talk em down on the price
