I just oiled the neck and re-strung it...it sounds real cool unplugged...
one thing I noticed...the Mustang bridge it came with.....it's a Warmoth compensated bridge, which is rather neat...seems to work well.....
my friend that used to own it, had put loads of tape on the bridge posts, and also had pretty musch locked the trem....so I undid those two "mods"...now the bridge moves freely, like it's meant to, and the tremolo works again.
compared to vintage tremolos I've used, it's got a weaker spring...not much "fight" to it.
I have to admit, now that the neck is oiled and it's restrung, I'm liking it more than I did when I first got it....it still feels cramped compared to my Jazzmaster...but at least it's comfier to play now the neck isn't so dry....
