When exactly is my Jazzmaster from?

This could be a slightly newb question to ask, but this seems the blast place to ask it. I bought a second hand Jazzmaster from a local guitar shop for £450, and am loving it, but I wonder when it's from. It's got a coloured head but I'm pretty sure that it's a made in Japan model. The previous owner replaced the pickups and tone and volume knobs with older ones, as well as the bridge with a mustang, leading me to believe moreso that it's a re-issue, but it's the head that confuses me as I don't know of any re-issues with coloured heads. It might just be my lack of knowlege, but answeres would be appreciated.

Sorry for the bad angle and everything, this is the only shot of it on my computer at the moment

If I could see the tremplate or the back of the neck or even the serial numbers, I could probably tell you. Does it not say "made in japan" or "crafted in japan" on the neck where it meets the body?

Looks very much like a Fender Japan model like this one: Image
Some of them do have Matching headstocks. It is probably from around the last 10 years

Steve0 is right that serial numbers could probably pin-point it down to the year it was amde though

That a really nice Japanese Jazzmaster in Seafoam Green you have there.

Just to confuse things, If it's "Made in Japan" it's 93-94.

If it's "Crafted in Japan", it's a few years old. This is my bet. It should say so on the back of the neck where the neck joins the body, where the serial number is. If not, someone has removed it.

I agree....this looks like a newer CIJ custom colour run...and since you got it in the UK (the market was swamped with them), I'd think this is a model made after 2002...

have a look in the back again...does it say "Crafted In Japan"?

Yeah, it does. It was just something I read somewhere about same coloured head, and I hadn't seen any other re-issues with coloured heads, or wasn't sure

there was a run in the UK that had custom colours with matching heads..they were all Crafted In Japan

the colours were Burgundy Mist, Seafoam Green, Shell Pink, Ocean Torquoise, Daphne Blue and Gold.....I think that's about all the colours....
