Nash has blessed Toronto with another Jazzmaster...

It's suposedly his last one that the store will ever see. He's done making jazzmasters! I feel kind of bad, I put him down pretty badly for the one that I played.

Is there any way to get them in the UK?

You don't want them. But yeah, I'm sure there is. They don't look TOO bad, but when they're in your hands, you can feel the difference. They feel almost cheap, which is a shame.

Look at this $trat: http://www.capsulemusic.com/retail/detail.asp?ID=3139, not nash though...

Your probably right, do you think gettting a CIJ and then relicing it would be a better idea?

I think getting a cij and playing it a crapload would be better than anything. Or you could just buy an AVRI and sleeping with it night after night, making it feel loved. "More tea Mr. Jazzmaster?"

;D Now if you watch the Migthy Boosh you'd know that "it's wrong for a man to have sex with a guitar" Although, I have a feeling that you'd didn't mean sex when you said sleep

I had no idea they were so poorly regarded...what makes them feel so cheap in your opinion?

From a looks perspectvie - his "meduim relic" seems a little more plausable. When i look back at the JM he had sold through capsule I noticed in the photos he did have the logo on the headstock - something I thought he got his hands slapped for - but apparently not hard enough.

I played a sunburst one and the wood was incredibly light. The guitar was like 5 pounds. The finish was odd. It was a matte finish, no shine, no checking from age and temperatue changes, very thin layer and it didn't feel like any finish I have ever touched on a guitar. The arm wear mark looks as though it was painted on and not actually worn away. there weren't any scratches in the finish, just deep gouges and chips(not just chips in the paint, but actual chunks out of the wood), and the wear marks weren't very realistic in comparison to actual fender guitars. The guitar had no "oomph" in it's sound. The hardwear had no finish on it at all and was just rusty in other parts. Even the Buzz stop had no finish on it. It had a strat headstock that was aged greatly. The back of the necks are sanded too much so it looks unnatural. They don't use the fender vibratos, so they're not as great as they could be. They don't even come with a case. I'd rather buy a AVRI than one of those. Maybe it's just me though.

I'd rather have Doug or Thurston Moore relic my guitars.

Holy crap! Somebody just put this guitar on HOLD! Wow. It's also 50 dollars more than the other two that Capsule Music has had.

edit: Oh and another thing, the guitar's finish has paint bubbles and other imperfections on it. REAL professional. It's sad, really. They sell soo quickly. Very rarely will a brand new Nash guitar last more than a week at these music stores. Most often they sell the same day or the next day.

Going by appearances alone, I think a lot of people view Nash guitars as a comparable alternative to Fender relics. I haven't ever played or seen a Nash in real life so I can't comment on any comparison though.
