The trem plate on that LPB looks especially "reliced."

The Klusons look a bit more realistic, though.  All the vintage JM's I've owned have all had pretty nice and shiney chrome parts as well...none have looked so abused.

yes the webrocker site is where i saw the San Marino Blue.  i guess what i meant is that's the only reference i've ever seen or heard of it.  was it a true custom color from one of the duco automotive paints that year or was it ever offered in the fender catalog?  as in did it predate LPB or something?

I think it did pre-date LPB but only for a very short time...other experts on this forum could say for certain.  I think maybe for only '58 and part of '59.
