That's pretty hot, but what's with the pickguard?

It has the rare "leave-the-peeling-plastic-cover-on" mod.

I know a guy who wants to make a Jazzmaster with Filtertrons, but use a Bigsby instead of the stock trem. I think it's a pretty neat idea.

I think it's a terrible idea :P

Why not just get a Gretsch then?

I'm thinking... Tele with JM pickup in the neck position and a Bigsby... now THAT would be neat.

Wasn't there a Hellecasters model like that? I know they offered a Tele with JM pups, can't remember if you could get it with a Bigsby.

I don't think it had a Bigsby, but that was the Will Ray model. I've never seen one in the flesh though. Another guy on a different message board has a Telecaster that he fitted with a JM pickup in the middle position. It looks pretty cool, but more than that, he said it really added a lot of versatility to it. I think it has a humbucker in the neck and a stock Telecaster pickup in the bridge. If I can find a photo of it, I'll post it.

i love sharin foo would be talking about me. yeah, that gold jag was the inspiration for my guitar i'm wanting to build.  jazzmaster scale. pewter metallic. matching headstock. bigsby. dual filtertrons. i wanted to start around feb/march of next year.

warmoth isn't accomodating with the body stuff i wanted to do, so i'm presently dreaming up a workaround. why not a gretsch? because it doesnt look space-age enough for me. i've been bouncing ideas off justin about how to make it all work.

and the guy with the jazzmaster in the middle position on a tele bigsby, i THINK he has the tele neck pickup, jazzmaster middle, and a duncan single sized humbucker [ala jb jr.] in the bridge. super versatile guitar.
