Oh how could I not include this. My other Mosrite. My vintage Mosrite Mark V which I think is a 1966 vintage.

Lovely Mosrites! One of my biggest regrets was passing on a $700 1966/1967 (semi?)hollow - I don’t remember the model name. I was blown away by the tremolo system. I’d always wanted to try one but didn’t expect great things, always assuming it was the same as a Bigsby. That Mosrite system blows any Bigsby I’ve ever tried into space and a million pieces. An almost comical range those things - I was doing what to me (but probably nobody else who would ever hear them) Eddie Van Halen tricks with it. It was a great guitar.

I had a Hi Flier for a little while and that’s like as close as I’ve ever gotten.

Interestingly, the Mosrite I passed on was purchased by an OSG member on eBay so at least I know it found a good home. Seeing that NGD thread blew my mind.

That Mk V is nice. Since we’re posting Mosrites, here’s my Avenger.

MT how do you like your Avenger? I like mine but mine is different. The dots are large like Zen-On Morales dot markers are. I think when Zen-On became Firstman they had leftover fretboards with big dots and used them at first to make my Avenger. I have seen two other on the internet like mine. It sounds fine and plays well so no big deal for me. Avengers are fine guitars.

What’s the difference between a Ventures and an Avenger?

Avengers was made by Firstman. The first Japanese Mosrite. The Ventures is just the name of the band on any Mosrite. There may be some Avengers with The Ventures decals on them.

From the little I understand, Avengers are Japanese made and were first built under the Firstman brand which then became Mosrite Japan.

Mine feels basically like any of the other Mosrites I’ve played at Tym Guitars. This one has a nice neck shape (still has the tiny width at the nut though) and has enough fret life that you can still do bends. Most of the old ones I’ve played had low frets but this one is nice to play.

Filtertrons in a Dano, that's a pretty unique setup.
