New offset day... and question/pic request!

I am still surprised I got a new guitar today - the guy who wanted to buy my Vox AC15 reissue amp didn't have the money after all, so he gave me his olympic white CIJ Jazzmaster instead... 

Anyway, I've had such a JM years ago before I got my AVRI Jaguars, I know about all the CIJ problems/differences etc... I think I will change the (insanely humming and weak sounding) pickups as soon as possible. A Mustang bridge is already installed, no buzz problems.

My main problem is: the brown tort/oly white combination looks ugly in my eyes - I want either a bright red tortoise pickguard or a mint green one, think of the allparts guards.

So please post pics of such white/red or white/white combinations. The dressing room doesn't show the real thing, and I already searched the gallery, but couldn't find anything.

Theres not much in it, but you could definitely get more for the guitar than you could for the amp i reckon.

I ordered AVRI pickups today (will have to wait 6-8 weeks ), and about the colour... I just feel the standard brown tort/oly combo doesn't work for me.

Nolan, your red/white Jazzy looks sweet  , but I will go for the mint green allparts guard after comparing the prices today... they want 80,- EUR for the red guard here in Germany! 

The mint green costs about 40-50 EUR, and I remember the beautiful white AVRI '62 Strat I once owned, so I'm looking forward to have an almost all-white guitar again...

i don't know why i love white jag's and jazzmasters. i do, i am obsessed. the only thing i dont dig is when they have gold hardware, but to be honest, that is even ok. just dosn't touch me like chrome does.

as far as red pick guards go. yeah, pretty damned awesome.

I have an AVRI jag witht he original tort that looks pretty good, but i been gigging with it too much and it has tonnes of wear. (my band can sometimes be a bit like a hockey game onb stage sometimes i guess..)
