Any additional fees/customs when ordering from them?Docks91 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 3:03 pmJust a few short days after ordering, the JM has arrived. Pretty impressed that they can get it from Kyoto to here in Michigan in just a couple of business days. I had another guitar shipped from Florida and it took longer and was more expensive to ship haha.
Initial impression is that it's well made. The lacquer on the back of the neck is much lighter than I thought it would be. It feels like it is just barely there.
Didn't have the opportunity to test out the sound since my Supro amp blew a fuse right when I turned it on . The amp is not even a year old smh.
Anyways, if you have any questions on it feel free to reach out!

Docks, mind if I ask roughly what time these went live? Trying to be prepared for future releases. Alternatively you can sell me the green beast you just gotDocks91 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 5:16 pmJust shipping and PayPal, no customs fees or anythingObservingthings22 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 4:26 pmAny additional fees/customs when ordering from them?Docks91 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 3:03 pmJust a few short days after ordering, the JM has arrived. Customs and duty fees upon import are dependant on where you are located - nothing to do with the company selling you the guitar.

There's a Sherwood Green Jazzmaster & Jaguar set for sale already on Reverb in Ontario (at obvious flip pricing, but not too insane, based on what they would've cost to get there). Sherwood is my favourite finish, I'm a huge sucker for dots & binding; everything about these had me sweating until I noticed the nut width. Whew. Just saved $2500. Truly lovely appointments on these, though.

Just wanted to point out that the neck doesn’t feel as narrow as the 40mm nut width indicates. The U shape feels really nice, and the shoulders prob have something to do with not having a narrow feel. At the same time, it’s nowhere near a Gibson type D neck (such as the slim C), which feels super wide to me.
The only thing that I would change is the lack of tint on the back of the neck. By itself it doesn’t bother me, but in the rack it pops out, and looks almost like it was painted white.

Re: 2024 MIJ FSRs (Kinko, Ishibashi etc)
I just picked up a Sherwood Green Jag. I sent Kinko an email last time they had some on their site a few weeks ago and just missed out. Kaz said they might be getting a few more in March and then he sent me an email a couple days ago saying he'd reserved one for me from a batch going live mid-March. So if anyone is interested I'd keep an eye on the site over the next week or so. I got hit with customs to the UK, but it's still only cost me about average for a used MIJ already in the UK (and way less than the flippers prices).
Still on the plane right now, but here's a couple shots from the QC photos they sent me.

Could we convince you to measure the distance between each string slot on the nut? Should be around 6-7mm distance between them.smalahove wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 12:22 amJust wanted to point out that the neck doesn’t feel as narrow as the 40mm nut width indicates. I'll have to wait till they get more FSR Jazzmasters in stock but I'm pretty sure they've got a slightly bigger nut size. Going off previously sold Kinkos on reverb they're listed as 1.615" (41.02 mm) where the Jags have 1.578" (40 mm).
Kinko have stocked up on those Comp/Racing Stripe Jazzmasters and late 60 Jazz/Jags here.
One from the '23 FSRs that I didn't see was a similar Comp/Racing Stripe Mustang which looks quite nice. Dreaded 40mm nut size tho.

This, along with the narrow nut width, is a huge selling point for me!
I really, really can't stand artificially ambered necks and Fender puts them on everything, likely because most buyers seem to prefer them.
It's such a pleasure to see a natural pale maple neck on these.
I think it's a massive aesthetic improvement.

That striped Mustang, and also a daphne blue Traditional 60s, are on there, but just not under the "2023 Collection" sub-heading.
