Query on neck profile MIJ Jazzmaster 84-87

Hi guys. In the past, I used a Jazzmaster in a studio, which had one of the nicest neck profiles I have played on any guitar, not to mind a Jazzmaster.
Serial number was E727589, suggesting it was made in Japan between 1984 and 1987.
Anyone any idea of the neck profile? I would buy a strat or JM neck of a similar profile and then look for a body afterwards.
As it is Japanese, I am going to guess it had a 7.25 radius. I had a mid 00s CIJ Jazzmaster, where the neck was nowhere near as nice as the one I used in the studio. Maybe it was the difference in finish, like gloss v satin etc, not sure....

I found an old thread which suggests a 7.25" profile, and a thinner neck than the later CIJ models, which adds up when I compare the one I had.

What would a thinner neck mean in this case? Any off the shelf necks you could recommend?

I would describe the earlier Japanese profile as a slim C.
