Jazzmaster MIJ Hybrid II 2023 - any info?

back on Reverb after quite a while, and I spotted a few of these. EDIT: the forum doesn't show the link ro the site, for reasons that I imagine are perfectly good and I respect. But just try to search for Jazzmaster Hybrid II and see.



I was wondering if anybody had any specific info, recommendations, had tried them etc. Especially about the colours available.

I've been historically GASsing for a matching headstock Seafoam Green and I think MIJs are the only option.
I missed the US made ones them at the time of those FSR that went to WildWood and Dave's Guitars some 15 years ago (got an LPB instead which I of course love), and I've never seen any of those on sale as second hand. I guess if you buy a SFG JM you know what you are doing, it doesn't happen by chance... :O

I've not seen anywhere nor read anything here about the Hybrid IIs, they didn't do a Jaguar sadly, and I'm not sure if/how they're different from the Hybrid I besides colour, but there were a few posts about those 4-5 years ago. I got the 60s Strat which is a terrific guitar. Never saw a Jazzmaster though.

Hybrid II JM was shown briefly in the this US shop video a few days ago. From a Japanese buying trip. No rhythm circuit, so like the Am Pro (I) JM. Some other recent MIJ offsets shown too.

Maybe not widely available anywhere (and least so in the US?), but most new MIJ series do tend to turn up around here (NB $AUD prices) ...

I quite like the Audiomo Music youtube channel and he does a fairly thorough review of a 2022 Hybrid II here.

I started a thread last year where I tried to keep track of the MIJ FSRs I came across but I'm sure I didn't catch them all. (page 5 and 14 for Hybrid II FSRs)

As far as colours I honestly think if you wait long enough the colour you want will eventually get a release. This is what's available currently on digimart and it's a pretty impressive amount of options.

And a few NGDs on reddit. Sunburst, natural, forest blue and I'm not sure if it's the lighting doing most of the work but a very cool looking burgundy mist.
