NGD - Fender Japan Traditional 60s Mustang Lefty

Picked this up from Taniguchi Gakki Japan. I've had a couple of Mustangs over the years, but this Oly White is what I've always wanted. Seller informed me only 15 of these were made this run. Fender Japan finally got the lefty headstock logo figured out! Maybe the most shocking part of this purchase was the fact it came in a left handed offset gigbag! I didn't know they existed.

for any other Fender Japan 60s Mustang owners - any info on the pickups would be appreciated (alnico / ceramic, output, etc). I can't find much online. Thanks!

Oh wow that’s gorgeous- didn’t even realise it was a lefty. Amazing the decal is actually there on a Japanese fender :D

What is the neck profile? I had an OLY Mustang for a while, think it was the 70s traditional with the u shaped neck. Wasn’t quite what I wanted.

I did just pick up a 2006 MG69 that’s pretty much as new. This is my favourite neck shape ever, so happy to have one back in my life again

I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

Thanks - and great looking lefty! this one also has the U shape neck. my 2003 Japan Jaguar has the slimmer neck (really most comfortable neck I've played and probably the same as your mustang) but this one is just a bit rounder overall. I've been playing a 50s Epiphone Les Paul so I'm used to the beefier necks.. this one still feels slim by comparison.

When I first started playing, I wanted a Jaguar, but even as a child, I realized that a Mustang was more likely, given the financial realities of my family. My dream Mustang would have been white. Never got one, but I’m on my fourth Jaguar, so I’m not complaining.

That's awesome!

The decal is great, but it would've been nice if they'd flipped the "swoosh/speed lines" to coming off the letters towards the body, like a righty. Small things though ;-)

They probably reversed in as a computer image, and never even gave any thought to that. In any event, it looks pretty decent, and gives our LH friends a good option.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining! It certainly wouldn't keep me from buying one if I wanted a Mustang. But I'm also very particular about my things and the way I do things too :D

That's a beautiful guitar - I have a RH one! Quick question - what case is it in? I've been looking for something like that for a while!
