So nice. Never mind the ravonettes, the ventures are (were) the best!

It’s funny I have seen pics of these and I always thought they came with a pearl pickguard.

Either way congrats on a beautiful jazz master.

Most versions of the Ventures JM did have a pearloid guard. Some also had a Ventures decal on the bass side bout.

I wonder if the OP's guitar has a replaced guard.

Adding my congrats on finding and acquiring a rare and unique JM! Loved the Ventures.....and think the Raveonettes are pretty cool too :)

Very good eye! It's a late 1920s map based off the borders and names.
Terribly sorry for the delayed response, by the way. My wife purchased this at the Rose Bowl flea market in LA. I lived in France for a couple of years; in Nice and Paris, more specifically. I still travel there pretty often because we've got family in Aix and Marseille.
