So sad. I wanted to order some brushed Jaguar plates again from Faction, but alas…
Yeah, there were some plates I was eventually looking to get... I hope that everything's OK for both, even if they're quitting.
Where did you see they were quitting? Just because he’s on a hiatus doesn’t mean he’s quitting. I play music at events. Sometimes once a month. This year it’s only been once every 6 months. He very well could just be working when he wants. Just slowed down to accommodate my other life goals. I don’t think we should assume he quit. He’s successful. He may or may not resume when he wants to
Indeed. What it has said on the website for a couple of months is he’s moving workshop. Not responding to messages yet So I’ll wait and see.
For all we know he might be somewhere nice and sunny for the 🥶 winter.

UPDATE
Heard back via someone else.
1 - He's fine
2 - He is still trading but had to move house and workshop = double whammy
3 - He's slowly started to make guards again

This beautiful pickguard arrived from the UK today. The gentleman behind Lava Pickguards is currently setting up a new shop but I thought I would enquire if he had a JM guard available. And he did. Paul was a pleasure to deal with. This guard is going on my next JM project. I think it will match well with a see through blond finish (that has yellowed a bit).
