Is this a function of the JM Jag finish or are all of the new "nitro" guitars aging like this? Can't really recall seeing aging pics of other models.
It's a JM thing, I can't recall anyone complaining about modern Nitro finishes aging like people do about the Marr ones. Especially the earlier runs were prone to damage. Can't speak on the recent ones.

I didn’t own one of these but my friend did so I saw it pretty often, one of the MKO ones. That finish was the thinnest I’ve seen on any guitar, vintage, modern, reissue, whatever. You could dent it with yr knuckle

I am so close to getting one of these. Just need to make sure it’s what I want.
Why do you want one?

I’m torn with the neck. I have a strat that has vintage frets like on the Marr and 7.25 radius, but I also enjoy the larger frets and the specs of the neck on the American Professional Jaguar. I played both and would likely be happy with either model, but the Marr just seems a little bit more special I guess? The finish, the pickups....
The Marr is an objectively better guitar and the AP is like a lesser than but totally inspired by version, only it costs about the same. Go with the Marr 10/10, yeah.

I dunno. Pickups are subjective, and the Am Pro pickups are actually really good. I agree that the JM finishes are better, but for me the neck radius/frets are kind of a dealbreaker. I'd take the AP over the JM 9 times out of 10.

Well I went with the AP in red. Nothing against the Marr is any way but the neck just suited me better on the AP.
