At risk of making this place an echo chamber, this is almost the same story as me. Olympic White AV65 Jazzmaster has become my no 1 and hasn’t budged. The neck took some time to adapt to but it’s my favourite neck now. The finish is flaking pretty bad though. Only change I’d like to make is to play around with different pot values, the 1 megs can be INSANELY bright.Larsongs wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 10:31 pmI have a 4-5 year old Olympic White AV65 Jazzmaster which I bought new. Outstanding build quality & excellent Player with great a sounding Pickups.. It's as close as you can get to a vintage 60's Jazzmaster.. I have a friend who had one that I've played.
The CS may be better but not that sure that they really are...
Tried the AO Jazzmaster recently, was pretty disappointed with the neck radius change. The whole AV series renewal in 2014 (or whenever it was) produced some dead set gorgeous guitars.
