Oh man, "tentacula" is a fantastic name for that kind of band. Do you have a link to any recordings? Psychedelic doom-surf sounds like the wonderful type of stuff only an OSGer could cook up.
The artist formerly known as mbene085.

:D exactly my thoughts!

Edit: I spot a Jupiter FX Silvermachine. I'm sooo intrigued by this. Should I get one?

We also do worldwide shipping and even got a handful of the limited ”Bubble Gum“ vinyl left.
And here is also the artwork our bassist made:

Yes, the Silvermachine is one of my many many Fuzzboxes. Got it from Chris (JPTR) in exchange for a power supply. It got a cool vintage vibe with this big enclosure and the upper octave is cool - but sometimes very annoying too. I’m working on making it switchable. Just waiting for a few parts as I maybe burned the diode in the attempt. Now it got now octave at all. :fp:
It‘s one of the ”italo western“ fuzzes I compared some time ago. If you‘re into 60s octave fuzz then it‘s a great pedal! You can also custom order from him (like building it in switchable) or changing to a more pedalfriendly enclosure (even though the big one makes it outstanding in the first place). I also love his JIVE pedal and he is releasing a double-version of it in january which got me a bit excited! :w00t:

Some really lovely offsets, y'all!

Here's my TVL Jazzy — tuned to drop-A and I couldn't be more happy with it. Mods so far include:
  • G&L MFD Tele-style pickups hidden under the stock covers
  • Mastery bridge (was unplayable beforehand)
  • Changed tone pot in jazz circuit to 1meg
  • Swapped to black pickguard

Hey what're those things on the trem plate?

Ahhh, them’s little rubber grommets I use to deaden the strings behind the bridge ... for theoretically more sustain.

Doubt it makes a difference, buuuuuut i found I could adjust the pitch of the overtones, based on where I put them.

I have a mustang with a P- rails in the bridge. I tune it to c. It gets that slightly out of tune wobble you get from being down tuned that is so characteristic of that style of music. My jazzmaster also has a wrhb in the bridge, and can doom quite well. Although I keep that tuned to d standard.

Every record has Jazzmasters, Jaguars, and Toronados in it on top of other guitars.

With my music I only dip one or two toes in Doom/Stoner metal genre, but I think the Lee Ranaldo Jazzmaster, with Wide-Range Humbuckers, works for this music. I replaced the stock pickups with Curtis Novak WRHB pickups which have much higher output, and a little more clarity.
