MIJ Jaguar Pickguards?

where can I find a decent red tortoise pickguard for a Japanese Jaguar JG66- I ordered one from Amazon (it looked good in the pictures) but when it arrived it was not that great. I would love to have a spitfire guard of course but can't justify spending that much-

any suggestions? pictures too if you have them- thanks!

I buy a lot from the seller (Guitar Parts Factory) and have generally only had good experiences. I can't speak for the guard itself because I've never seen a *red* tort that I liked anyway, and the one pictured is certainly no exception. Do you have a particular shade/style of tort that would be your idea of perfection?

something like this would be great- I have a CAR jaguar with block inlays- the current guard on it is a "modified" AVRI brown tort, looks like it was cut with a butter knife

It's probably going to be hard to find a pickguard like that one without actual pictures of the guard you're buying. It's pretty unique.

Having said that, there is a seller on Reverb who always has really nice tort guards with pictures of the actual guard you're getting. Example:

Honestly, I don't know if he's sourcing these from somewhere and aging them, of if he's making them from scratch. It might be worth reaching out to him and seeing if he has any MIJ-compatible Jag guards on hand.
