Serious question: Is there any aftermarket pickguard company (or person) making Player Series Jaguar pickguards?
They've been out a year and.....nothing. It's killing me.
Most pickguard guys will cut you any pickguard if you send yours in, for a fee.

If you ask the bigger guys there's a chance they've done one in the past and already have a template.

If you willing to send your guard to me I can make it for you. Send me a message. Preferably on my Reverb store.

Thanks! When the time comes I'll definitely do that. Great to know that's doable. Now my chore is...what finish with what pickguard? This could be a while. :fp:
I'm sure some Fender dealer in '64 looked at the new Duo-Sonic II and thought, "That's not a Duo-Sonic. That's a Mustang".

Squier Bullet Mustang HH Sonic Gray
Oh dang, that sounds fun. I like that color on the Am Pro Jazzmasters.

None of the FSR Bullet Mustangs have come to Canada, but if they do, that Sonic Grey one would be a pretty easy decision for me. Love my modded blue one.
The Sonic Grey is on the US site now as a standard color, so i'd imagine it'll be pretty easy to get it in Canada.

Oh weird, I saw it as an FSR. That's awesome, then. All we've had here have been the black and blue, and I'm done with black guitars.

Played the Vintera line and the new Squiers today, everything was amazing! Vintera felt like I was playing an American standard model, not a MIM. I don’t say that lightly either, I’m not one of those guys who thinks MIM models smoke their US counterparts but in this case it’s very close!

The Starcasters are great. CV model is beautiful, well built and plays like a dream. Affinity models felt good in my hands but were not impressive. They will be great for younger players who want some variety though. Didn’t plug in, so no word on the new WRHB, sorry!

My wife fell in love with the new Malibu Player acoustic and wouldn’t put it down for like 20 minutes, that was a first! Will be picking up one of those shortly haha

Orange and black don’t look good together in my opinion. At least not on a guitar. Maybe a rally car, but not a guitar.
That Jag needs a different pick guard.

It's a very bold look that's at definite risk of screaming "Halloween." Actually now that I think of it, that's true of all secondary colors. Orange, Green and Purple send a message.

Is it something I'd want on a Jazzmaster? I dunno. But the Tangerine Charvels from a few years back looked super cool IMO:

Metallic is different! Flat/dull orange is a finish that's difficult to match, I've rarely found something that really spoke to me...

Player Jazzmaster in capri orange!

That is a GORGEOUS color!
Unfortunately it is. I have a Tidepool Player Jaguar I pulled the neck off and sold (and put a Pearly Gates Plus in the bridge), then put my Warmoth neck on it. I really want this color, dammit. I just bought a Music Man Stingray (newer ones with the non-roasted maple neck). I don't need all these amazing options, people.

Mind sharing your impression of the CV Starcaster neck? Thin? Chunky? :D
