Oh cool! I knew he had a model that EB made him, but I didn't know he actually had a sig model you could buy. Huge fan of Thrice (especially Alchemy Index and later). Happy new guitar day!

Ah sweet! Was fortunate enough to tour with these guys in the UK. There were only two dates and he literally had a completely different rig each night! Crazy! Not too hot on these models but Tepei's boutique stuff was bloody sweet.

Awesome, can't lose with an EBMM - Those look great too (what's the button on the horn do?)
King Buzzo: I love when people come up to me and say “Your guitar sound was better on Stoner Witch, when you used a Les Paul. “...I used a Fender Mustang reissue on that, dumbass!

In mono goes straight to bridge pickup flat out with no volume or tone controls. With trs split y cable you can send each pickup to diff things (amps or effects) and toggle them with FX units, latching ftsw, etc. This is a true artist model - it even came setup with very heavy strings tuned to D standard like Dustin's own guitars. My third StingRay I should mention, truly outstanding playing and sounding instrument, EBMM is killing it.

Looks great! I'd be interested how it would sound with a Wide Range Humbucker (a more accurate version such as a Novak or Creamery not the Fender reissue).

Is this a USA model or Tribute series?

That makes sense. I remember seeing a rig rundown with him, and he was talking about how he had different ODs for the bridge and the neck (again, makes sense). So yeah, a TRS with separate pickups to separate effects/amp chains sounds very much in line with that.

I saw them at Koko in London a few years back- I was above the stage so could see their setups. Dustin using a Line6 Helix always seems odd, and looked out of place with no amp on a large stage. But it sounds amazing live. God knows how many times I’ve seen them since he stopped with all the vintage amps.

I bought a Pod 500 second hand a while back as carrying my board & amp to gigs on the underground was torture - if it’s good enough for Thrice etc... turns out I can’t get anything like the quality that Dustin did. And I didn’t have the patience to really tweak it, so just stopped using pedals. Now I want a board again!

Anyone know if there is a left handed model? Would love to see how this works & plays.

Dustin's always had *something* from Line 6 in his setup. He and Teppei used to use Line 6 M13 boards - which was a ringing endorsement enough for me to get one (still love it). He also had a Nash tele that was equipped with the guts of a Line 6 Variax. Not surprised he's using the Helix, at least when touring abroad. It's possible he's even got a sponsorship from them.

As for a left handed model, I'd guess that a limited run of 25 probably rules that's out.
