I haven't seen these mentioned before. Stumbled upon this South African builder while browsing Etsy that builds JM and Jag inspired electric ukes.

The samples on the site make it sound just like a high pitched electric guitar, and they play blues shred on them too. It would be cool to hear them in better context

If he were still alive, that would be epic.

If either one were still alive! I thought were doing dead ukulele players? Auntie Alice would be so fun to see play one of these. Or just play anything. My fucking dad took Hawaiian slack key guitar lessons from her. I remember almost nothing from my childhood, and I cannot say I ever remember seeing her. But they were pals right before she died!

That's really cool.

I'm not really into ukuleles, but these look bad to the bone. Saw a Vox Phantom shaped one on there too. Also, a picture of a really cool surf burst offset uke.

Aren't ukes tunes like a mandolin? I picked up one of those 8 string mandolins, with the 12 string headstock, and it's fun as hell to mess around with.

Wow these are cool. Like an electric Tenor. Would love to hear one set up as a Cuban Tres or Colombian Tiple.
