I think in general “baritones” are usually around a 28” scale and its the Bass VI that has the full 30”. I’m sure this “standard varies from builder to builder. If you’re looking for the “short scale feel” on a baritone you may want to go with a full scale guitar and tune it down or maybe even use as light of strings as you can get away with on a full 28” or so baritone?

Just thoughts.

I would love to have a theorbo, to get totally off topic. I recorded a period music ensemble once and there was a harpsichord, a viola d'amore, a theorbo and one other instrument I don't remember... some kind of oboe, probably.

It was wonderful. The theorbo was cool, but the viola d'amore blew me away.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

You might be looking for a Reverend Descent OR maybe a Jazzmaster tuned down if you're looking for a more shortscale baritone vibe.
