NGD MIJ Hybrid Jazzmaster
Just got this today. Wonderful, wonderful guitar. Second time ordering directly from Tokyo. Worked with Noriaki San @ Ikebe Gakki and we got one fresh from the factory. Enjoy!

Awesome. I think this is the first one on the forum. How does it sound? Is it the typical MIJ JM type pickups?
The artist formerly known as mbene085.

Oh shit. This is exactly the one I've been dreaming of for a couple of months.
I heard the pickups are AVRI 62s?
Spill everything! How's the neck? Hardware? Electronics? How's the color in person?

That does look really great. I would also love to hear more about the build and H/W quality, the neck and the sound of the pickups.

You're in the States and ordered from Japan? I always see guitars I lust for and once I see it's out of country I don't consider it. This gives me hopes! Thanks

Looks great! I too would love a report on this guitar.
It seems that most people here don't like natural, pale (untinted) maple necks, and pearl pickguards, but I love em.

Looks great. Love the colour and the Pearl guard. Maple neck looks great on it.
Looks to be an all around good score.
Congrats!

Some more pics; unfortunately on my old backup phone as my Pixel 3xl is in repair with Google.
I never played avri pickups so I can't speak there; sounds very full and deep on the neck, bridge is a little bright/thin. My favorite position is the middle. Factory setup is so good; frets (feel vintage not medium jumbo with 9.5" radius) are perfect low action just plays itself. It is a round lam maple neck with some flame happening on the front side. Best feeling neck; nice full c from the nut all the way down not thin American standard style. Vintage locking tuners are fantastic, I'm thinking gotohs hold tune very well. Bone nut and all CTS pots etc. Mexican fenders are pushing the 1000$+ line I'd take these over those any day. So impressed with Fender Japan. Color is fabulous, last pic with my am. Performer mustang captures it. Mastery will be coming soon. I also cannot get the trem arm in for the life of me - can anyone help?

I came down with a bit of GAS for this guitar when I first saw it. The feeling has subsided a bit, but I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the guitar again after you've spent some time with it. Keep us posted.

It turns out the American pickups they used are the V-Mods, but they still sound better than the regular MIJ JM. A fantastic guitar if you can get one at local prices.

Interesting. I wonder if they use the same 500k pots that the AmPros use.
I've been weighing the pros and cons between this and a maple-neck AmPro, but the knowledge that I'll wanna gut the AmPro's electronics anyways and this being $500 cheaper where I'm from makes me lean towards the MIJ.

Re: NGD MIJ Hybrid Jazzmaster
How do you know they are vmods? I paid less than $1200 shipped from Tokyo to Boston insured via EMS for a 4 day delivery. Keep in mind I obv. didnt pay local JP tax and no Cites to be worried about; made it a no brainier.
Put it through it's paces at practice this Sunday morning and this guitar delivered in spaces through my Rockerverb mkiii. Pickups take fuzz (eh triangle ri) and my OCD gloriously. Bridge has some good chunk to it through this rig too vs my princeton at home. I gotta put it on the scale because it is so comfortable and lightweight I was blown away after 2 hrs+ standing with it.
Anyone have any suggestions on the trem arm? Do I really have to mess with the collet to get it in? Stock bridge will stay in place for now as I had zero issues with it and rocked it hard the other day.
