A Spitfire would look great on this. I just don't like a boring tort like the stock photo.

My Classic 60's Jazzmaster has a PF fingerboard and although it wasn't a deal breaker and still isn't, I find it doesn't clean up and oil as well as rosewood. Oil doesn't darken it at all. I've also noticed that it gets faint lines like where the edge of liquid/oil sits on the board and the lines can't be rubbed/wiped off. You can only see it under the right light, but it's still annoying. Never seen that on any rosewood boards.

I'm not sure I understand this. Do you mean the oil sort of gets trapped in the little openings/lines of the PF wood? Curious because I recently got some PF equipped guitars and this might be something that catches my attention too. (also annoyed that it doesn't darken with oil, that's one of my guilty pleasures)

Someone on here had some pretty good luck oiling up a pau ferro board on a 60th Anniversary JM with some pretty good results.
