So what color is this exactly?
Charcoal Frost Metallic with a yellowed clear coat. At least that is what it looks like.

hope that surf green makes it to the EU as well
Purple not listed though aaahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

It might come, the gold pickguard ones are a slightly different fsr model lol. I assume the black one will be available at least to the us, so maybe the purple might as well?

My Super-Sonic just showed up. I'm loving the metallic finish, it's got much more shine than I expected:

I'm at work, so I won't be able to play it for a bit, but it looks fantastic.

I've never had a Super-Sonic. I have a Vista Musicmaster, but that's kind of an oddball, and probably not very relevant for comparison purposes.

I'm surprised at how little playing area there in on this guitar. I found myself hitting the toggle and top volume control while playing. The volume controls are wired in reverse, true to the original. As someone pointed out earlier, the bodies are pretty small.

I typically use 10's, and had no issues staying in tune with the stock 9's. I did notice the grub screws coming up just a bit on one of the saddles. I suppose that might contribute to the tuning issues people have had. Or maybe I'm just not as heavy handed as most.

The neck feels thin, and while glossy, doesn't feel sticky. No sharp frets on mine, and intonation was just about right out of the box. Even the nut is alright.

The finish is just a step down from sparkle to my eyes. It catches the light really well.

The pickups are just okay. I've never really liked a stock Fender or Squier pickup, and my opinion is probably not going to matter to most here since I prefer high gain stuff anyway.

Overall it's fun, but will take some getting used to. If anyone has any questions about this guy I can try and answer them.

Danocaster Charcoal Frost Metallic, with the clear coat aged to make it appear older/oxidized.

I have a P bass with goldguard from Dano in that same color :) ... With a matching headstock 8)

How is the nut? Decently cut?

I thought it was acceptable, especially for a Squier.

My Toronado was delivered this morning. I ordered it from Sweetwater on Thursday. I had waited until they had some posted with their glamourshots and weights listed. I was able to get a 7.75 pounder with a dark fretboard (actual guitar below).

I haven't had a chance to plug it in yet, but so far I can't find any flaws besides the tiny strings. I'll keep an open mind about the stock pickups, but am expecting I'll replace them with some low output PAFs before too long.

Squiers generally have flat-bottom nuts, is that correct?

edit: Don't forget, the Supersonics are 38.1mm nut-width.

Your Toronado looks really nice. I'll be going in the opposite direction with the pickups in my Super-Sonic and putting something livelier in there. These aren't bad, they're just really bland. Like the tofu of pickups. I'm not sure if the covers change things up at all, but at the very least the bridge has to go.
