The only thing is this range seems akin to the Pawn Shop and Parallel Universe lines, which were limited. It feels like a Squier version of that.
The Squier '51 is the closest example I can think of, and those lasted 3 years as a Squier model. Of course, it was subsequently reincarnated in different forms, and basically kicked off the whole Pawn Shop/Parallel Universe/Paranormal line concept.
The artist formerly known as mbene085.

I see this series as a combo of safe bets with a few new things thrown in. The safe bets are the Cyclone, Toronado, and Super-Sonic. They previously existed for non-trivial production runs. I think even the Offset Telecaster is a safe bet since the CS made one 2005 and there was a Am Std in 2016.
The truly new models/mash-ups are only the Tele Cabronita Thineline and the '54 Jazz bass. (Baritones are baritones and always seem like mash-ups.)

This is probably a series for them to have a space to do more weird stuff in Asia, and make $ on the old established weird stuff Fender isn't going to make for less than a grand in Mexico.
I'm sure some Fender dealer in '64 looked at the new Duo-Sonic II and thought, "That's not a Duo-Sonic. That's a Mustang".

How long do Squier lines tend to stay in production for? I like the look of the baritone Cabronita since I've been playing my non-offset in C standard lately and want to go even lower, but I can't justify another guitar purchase for a few months.
They won't even HAVE more until later this summer, so if you can get one then you'll definitely be fine.

Does anyone know what became of the lake placid blue and red Squier mustangs that Musicians Friend had listed for a while? They had white pickguards and white pickup covers. One day they just vanished from the internet. I can't even find a picture of them online now.

Man that's a shame. I hope they eventually get produced. That LPB one is too crisp for this world

Im sure they will eventually. Tbh i thought the fsr bullets ended up being way cooler than these cv fsrs, especially the blue one with the stripe, i feel like they couldve at least done a pearl guard or black pu covers on the cv. I might still get an orange bullet at some point

The reason they got delayed was whoever was in charge noticed they got white pickups and black switches. They were all immediately set on fire and they had to start over building guitars with matching switches and pickups. Fuck sake fender. It's not hard. It doesnt even cost more. STOP BEING LAZY

I actually dig the white on white look, makes it look different from every other mustang out there

This seems to be one big Squier thread, so I'll add here. Just checked the status of my shell pink classic vibe Jaguar with Andertons. They are due to receive their stock on Friday, and have 50 due. 27 have been claimed.

Presume the Jazzmasters will be arriving at the same time.

The guy told me over the phone when he was finding out where I was in the list. Presume they are getting all 50 at once.

And yes, it has been a wait!

I can't wait to see photos and hear your impressions of it. I love so many of the Paranormal Series guitars, but the shell pink Jag is the thing is the new Squier I'm most excited about.
