Got the guitar back from its set up, playing and sounding great! Has any of the guitar magazines got a review yet?

I've just received mine. The fretboard is too clear, but it looks good (overall). The nut, meh.

The setup seems acceptable, but I have not tried it yet.

Update: I tried it, very nice, comfortable. I like it, sounds good.

Is lemon oil ok for pau ferro?

I have always loved that headstock design since I first saw Johnny Winter playing one (as a six string) 50 years ago. Can't wait to get mine!

Alternate Reality Electric XII owners: will the bridge allow for flipping the octave strings in the E-A-D-G pairs so it's on the under side (like a Ric 12)?

I did that on my Danelectro 12. It changed the sound...but it does not sound like a Ric.

Hi guys,
I pre-ordered mine last march and it finally arrived last week!
I was planning to do a video of the first try and, since I just found out last week about wet/dry/wet setups, I figured I would try it all together.
You'll find the video below (I made it today) , but it won't be wet/dry/wet because my splitter just died!
Instead it will be the good old stereo rig with a silverface vibrochamp and a surprisingly good Roland cube 20x momentarily replacing my blackface vibrochamp.
For bass soundz, I use the squier VI into the Bassman.

The effects used with the XII are:
Janglebox compressor
Moogerfooger Ring modulator
Moogerfooger MF-104M delay (left side)
EHX Deluxe MemoryMan delay (right side)
Neunaber Wet stereo reverb

Drums: A Roland TR-8 drum machine

I'm very pleased with it!
It sounds good to me and keeps in tune.

That video was amazing. Great sounds!.

I was really thinking about getting this guitar, but yesterday I was able to find in a local store a new Danelectro 12 "vintage" for a very good price (300$) and pulled the trigger. I am not regretting it one bit. The Danelectro lipstick pickups sound incredible. This Fender 12 sounds great too. A good sounding 12 string is just too much fun.
