Lack of white is a big miss, I'm sure there's quite a few Rowland S Howard fans out there.ThePearDream wrote: ↑Fri Jan 25, 2019 7:00 amI understand that everything must come in sunburst. The black is a cool addition. If I was in the market for another Squier Jag, I'd be getting a black one. I'm really disappointed that they kept the surf green though. I don't recall ever seeing a 70s Fender with surf green paint. It doesn't make any sense and it's an overrated color.

Absolutely! I would trade in my VM Jag just because this one is closer to Rowland‘s original!

Re: Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar
So , I just saw a musicstore video on youtube where they present the new classic vibe line up .
The guy says they discontinued the vintage modified line and they took the best models and changed some things to make these new classic vibes .
So , these are made by the same people who were making the vintage modified .

Did he say "we have more coming out in summer"?Even more models? Other color options? Or what could it mean?

You took every thought right out of the frontal lobes of my brain. I'm currently thinking of how I could mash this up with my white Vintage Modified for the ultimate RSH tribute machine (I've got the pedal already....)
Swap out the neck and bridge probably. Especially if the nut is really going to be bone, and the scale length IS going to be 24"

I don't get it though. The Mustang bridge doesn't match a 9.5" radius, which is why I've never put one on my VM Jagjesterpunk68 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 24, 2019 2:45 pmI really like how they all have the mustang style bridge instead of the traditional jaguar bridge.

Re: Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar
The new American Professional bridge is "mustang-like" (saddles just rest on the surface of the bridge in a fixed radius) but the saddle heights are correct to have a 9.5" radius. The hope is that these new JM/Jags are using the same sort of bridge.loafingoaf wrote: ↑Sat Jan 26, 2019 6:51 amI don't get it though. Yeah, the listing quite notably fails to refer to it as a Mustang bridge: "vintage style floating bridge" - in fact it doesn't mention the bridge in the specs at all. Here's hoping!

Re: Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar
Is it confirmed to be a 9,5" neck then? Some of the specs released were somewhat dubious, like the one stating it had a 25,5" scale length, but I saw they went with tall & narrow frets rather than the medium jumbo-ish ones that came on the VM Jaguars. Any chance that, being Classic Vibe now, these might have 7,25" necks and thus use standard Mustang bridges?

Am I the only person not seeing this? It looks like a normal offset bridge to me.jesterpunk68 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 24, 2019 2:45 pmI really like how they all have the mustang style bridge instead of the traditional jaguar bridge.
Edit: Specs in previous post suggest it is the usual vintage bridge, but photo below shows Mustang saddles.

No, they're not the usual vintage style bridges:

Re: Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar
looks like someone was posting a photo, while I was uploading my screenshot from the picture taken from the Reverb Site to imgbb - well, here it is anyhow... detailed zoom in.
looks like something in between for me. Very close to a Mustang Bridge - and as you can see... strings may still slip out!

Re: Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar
I have no idea how I'm not going to buy one of these. I need another guitar like I need another hole in my head.
What do we know about the pickups in these? They've gone away from the Duncan Designed.
