after all the rave reviews and all i KNEW i had to get one of these someday.
so this one popped up locally for a price i could just not refuse. he bought it in 2012 and had it under his bed ever since, it is NEW.
(he only snipped off the rythm circuit and changed the selector tip... oh well)

took it to the rehearsal straight away and MAN i was blown away. :w00t:

this sounds and feels about 3 times better than my brand new Gibson Firebird that cost almost 4x this!!!

who would have known Pat would love a new made in china guitar as much... i cannot stop LOOKING at it it's SO HOT!!! :-* :-* :-*
i love delay SO much ...that i procrastinate all the time.

Hah! Welcome to the club, better late than ever. These are amazing guitars. By now I upgraded everything on mine but the pups and it plays and sounds amazing. It'll make a nice companion to your Jarman. Happy NGD!

Wow, I wish mine still looked like that.

The anodized gold doesn't agree with my sweat so parts of my pickguard has turned silver. I've been debating changing the guard or just letting the wear show, but I've forgotten how classy they looked new.

Congratulations! I have one of those. I guess I bought it new in 2014. Fantastic guitar! Great value! All stock until last summer when I dropped 65 AVRI JM pups and vintage caps and switches. Soooo much better now

In fairness, your brand new Firebird would have come with those POS overwound ceramic turds for pickups, but that doesn't change the fact that a stock JMJM sounds better ;D

Congrats.

I bought mine in 2011 and i think it was the first in germany. It's the best rocker i own. Only thing i changed was black witchhats, some stickers and wear...

If I was a byrd, I'd be mighty sore every time they shut the door and I don't think I'd sing...

Wouldn't wanna steal the limelight but I couldn't find an appropriate thread and didn't wanna make a new one, so here's a blurry album link:

https://imgur.com/a/xEcTi6Z

IIRC it seems like there's two kinds of pickguards these had, a more egg-yolky yellow gold one and a deeper gold that looked more like the one the Japanese J Mascis. I think the earlier ones came with the former.

I tend to plant my fingers to the pickguard when I pick so I think it's more of a reaction to my sweat/oils than it is caused by scratches.

I got this around 2011 or 2012, so this could be what Pacafeliz's will look like in another 6 years plus/minus an AVRI Trem, Staytrem AOM replacement bridge, wiring overhaul, PV65 pickups, and 6 years worth of weird corrosive finger oils.

With an absence of almost a year there were three popping up on the local used market in the last 1 1/2 months. The last one for only 280€ but they were all in the capital and basically sold the same day. So you really got to be super fast (and not permanently broke, like me atm... )
while the VM models are listed for months...and just don't get sold!

I'm finally going to try out a JMJM at a friend's place (again in the capital) this week as my concert schedule and his duty roster allow it for the first time since summer to meet.

So this one is to you, owners:
How do you like the Tune-o-matic in it? Compared to a Mastery/Staytrem in your other guitars?
Thank you

I have no mastery/staytrem. I use mustangbridges. And i have no idea why all the other peoples have problems with the TOM. It just works fine for me...
