Hello! Can anyone tell me if the necks on the CIJ 65RI Mustangs are roughly the same as the necks on the 90’s MIJ Jaguars (JG66)?
My girlfriend has 69RI CIJ Mustang and the neck feels just a bit cramped to my hands, where as my Jaguar feels a tad wider but just right.
Thanks!

Re: Fender Mustang 65RI neck question?
Hello! I've got all three. I do find the 90s 69 mij ri mustang neck a bit thin. The jaguar neck thicker than the 90s mustang. Very comfortable. The 65 mustang ri neck seems to be the thickest between the three. Also very comfortable. I hope this helps!

i have a mg69 and a mg65
the mg65 is just right. almost perfect.
the mg69 is definitely too cramped for my tastes.

I hated the neck profile on the MG65 Mustang I owned.
'Chunky' in all the wrong ways/places for my tastes. I've never played another Fender Japan offset (having played quite a few) that felt like that. A shame as the guitar itself was an incredible instrument fit/finish wise.
