Are the trems available separately somewhere already? They look excellent. Love the little bushing on the trem arm and the block underneath. So great to see Fender improving this design.

Trem is TREMOLO AM PERFORMER MUSTANG MODIFIED 7713264000. But no sign of it yet from aftermarket sources.

BTW the bridge also has its own part number ..
BRIDGE ASSY AM PERFORMER MUSTANG 7713209000

Also encouraged to see Fender pay attention to the Mustang vibrato. I played a Performer the other day, and noticed the new two-point fulcrum design—it better resembles the G&L two-point more than ever now. I was hoping they came up with a better ‘hot dog’ bar though, one that eliminates the wrap around and works with a string-thru design. Missing the “Fender” stamp too, wtf? :D

Played one of these at Guitar Center tonight. I hate to be negative, but I thought it felt really cheap. The neck had that sort of satin finish that I associate more with Affinity series Squiers. I also had a very hard time keeping it in tune, and the fret ends were sharp at a couple points lower on the neck. The GC setup may have been to blame for this. I didn’t plug it in (I usually don’t at guitar stores), so I can’t speak to what the pickups are like. The finish looked nice, though!

I was honestly pretty disappointed, but it may have just been a dud. Minutes later, I played one of the Performer series Tele’s and I loved it; felt really good, stayed in tune, and the neck had a higher-quality satin finish, as well. So, there is still hope for the series, I would say. Either the Mustang I played was a pretty bad one or the Tele I played was a great one. I would be happy to try more of both, but my first impression of the Mustang was not very good.
Thought I would revive this thread cuz I played a different Performer Mustang today at a store and thought it was great! The neck finish still felt a little cheap - I played an American Professional Strat right after playing the Mustang and their respective satin finishes definitely feel different - but overall, I was kind of impressed. I still wouldn’t pay $1100 for one, but if they start popping up used for <$1000, I would certainly consider picking one up!

I've got the one in penny colour. I have to admit the headstock looks a bit cheap, but I'm going to gloss spray logo front, make it look a little bit less like an affinity Squier.

So is the bridge actually 9.5 radius? That’s a big reason I want one.

So this is the only thing that comes up on google for an American Mustang Tremolo Arm. I need one and can't find a one for sale anywhere. If anyone has one please contact me!
