Congrats, OP! That LPB really does look great.

I was considering one of these but found a used CPJM at a good price and couldn’t pass it up.

Yeah, mines 8.5lb, so not light, but my Marr Jaguar was slightly heavier. I think US Doheny's can be spec'ed with lighter woods.

The pickups do sound really, really great. I play mine through a blackface type tube amp and it sounds as good as any other guitar I've ever owned.
So, here's a question I can't find an answer to: does the Tribute Doheny have a route on the lower bout like the USA version?

I'm sure some Fender dealer in '64 looked at the new Duo-Sonic II and thought, "That's not a Duo-Sonic. That's a Mustang".

I just got one myself today, and by knocking on the pickguard to hear where it sounds hollow and where not, I'm pretty sure it does.

Thanks for the reply! Bass-side 3-way switches kill me because I tend to strum where the neck meets the body and they're too close.
To confirm you can just unscrew the 3 closest pickguard screws and lift gently 1/2in or so in a well lit area.
Thanks again!
