Make real Squier CV Jazzmasters & Jaguars. Not fancy VM's from the Indonesian factory with a CV Sticker.... I guess we'll see....
No-one's touched one yet and we're already bitching ;D

It fails every time, because they sound like the piezo pickups that power them...which is not good.
I have always asked myself how to amplify one of those - going direct with an acoustic preamp will probably come close to the sound of any acoustic guitar with piezo, but what about the electric pickups? Do I need a complex amplification layout to achieve the best sound these guitars can offer? Going direct via a preamp for the acoustic and a second cable goes through a setup for the electric part of the guitar?

Maybe the guitar has an acoustic preamp on board as part of the blend circuit?

Yes, but it will sound strange if I blend that in and go through my pedalboard into an overdriven tube amp, right?

The way of dealing with that particular issue is to not buy the horrible thing in the first place.

Brownface handwired Princeton! Interesting but I really would like the on board reverb too.

TBH I was multi-tasking at the time and didn't notice the lack of reverb :-[

What‘s left for them to do after this year‘s great releases? A Squier CV Bass V.

Squier:

Additional kids models to accompany the Mini Strat: Mini Tele, Mini Jazzmaster, Mini Jaguar, Mini Mustang, Mini Mustang Bass, Mini Precision Bass, Mini Jazz Bass.

Also could make a scaled down set of solid state (Sidekick) versions of classic Fender amps for kids with 8 or 6 inch speakers. Sidekick Tweed Deluxe, Sidekick Bassman, Sidekick Deluxe Reverb, Sidekick Super Reverb. Obviously more aesthetic than tone driven, but parent’s preferences, nostalgia, or enthusiasm would be driving most of these sales anyway.

I find it interesting that innovation is expected of some companies and not others. Take Rickenbacker for example; no one's expecting them to reinvent the wheel. They're just enjoying what they put out.
