I follow them on Instagram and almost always like his stuff. I like how he uses pretty wood, burls, black limba, etc. and will make wooden pickguards and pickup covers. I saw that insta post where he wanted to sell the one you got and it looks awesome. Congrats.

Are the knots in the top filled at all or are they just left natural?

Nailed that one on the head. Would be rather more listenable without the Screamo style of vocalization. The rest is pretty good.

Thanks! I just took delivery of it today. It is surprisingly light. I was expecting something much heavier in weight. It is lighter than my Jazzmasters and I'd forgotten how heavy JMs actually are.

The guitar has the lightest of poly finishes. I thought that it was, perhaps oiled, but asked Sacha and he put me straight. It feels like touching bare wood. The knot holes (there are only a few) are not filled. The neck is lovely and I regret having to travel for the next four days. Argggh!!!
Feels great, is lightweight, sounds good for sludge-rock (all that I've done at this point) and the neck is super sexy. Will report back in a week or so.

I agree about the vocals, but at least Deafheaven is mixed well, with the vocals not foregrounded like SO MANY black metal bands. There is so much of that ilk that would be awesome if the vocals were buried...

I've been checking out Dunable for awhile now...the basses. Especially what they've done for Jeff Matz (High On Fire). He has a sig too. One badass bass.
