If I like all of Jessica Alba except for her feet, does that mean I don't like Jessica Alba? (I swear to god I don't know what her feet look like btw, just an example.)
I can't picture what Jessica Alba looks like at all, but I'm guessing her feet aren't one of her defining features. We can argue all day long about what a Jazzmaster is or isn't, but Fender put us on notice a long time ago that the only thing they think is important is the body shape. You're right- Fender has never offered as wide a variety of offset options, which is great. It's just amusing that they make so many that discard the things that make the design special in the first place.

They do allow her to walk. That's defining enough.

Personally I think they should have gone for a fixed bridge but hey if it makes people happy. Seems like things are a little upside in FenderLand...

Everybody has feet, though- NOT having feet would be a defining characteristic. Also, I'm fairly certain most people who find Jessica Alba attractive wouldn't list her feet in a top 10 list of "Things I Like About Jessica Alba." It's not like Fender changed the strap pins or toggle switch cap, they changed one of the fundamental things about the guitar that makes it different from other guitars. Like, if they put Ernest Borgnine's face on Jessica Alba and called it the "American Performer Jessica Alba."

OK, this is getting weird.

Did someone say Gibson?
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

You know what though? Let the clodhoppers have the Jazzmasters with training wheels, and leave the real ones for the rest of us.

i commented on it in the jazzmasters & jaguars group on facebook but i'll copy and paste my comment

"so its a fender jagmaster. i mean, im all for it, i love jagmasters and im glad they finally stopped messing about with the selector switch placement (it belongs on the bottom) and the colours are cool. sadly, after recently trying the G&L donner kebab or whatever it's called. this would have to be better for the same price. which is highly unlikely."

also first person to find a comment from the gear page reading along the lines of "at last, a jazzmaster done right" get's a prize.... of crippling depression

Oh, yay- another Jazzmaster for people who don't like Jazzmasters. Apparently Fender thinks there are a lot of those people.

Yet another discussion about how Fender never gets it right  did it become cool at some point to complain about how a new jazzmaster is not a RREEALLLL jazzmaster?

Nope, I don’t care for Strat trems so this makes no sense to me. Should of put a Floyd on it.
