Cyclone I vs. Vista Jagmaster
...what would you rather be choosing?
I mean, they're both cool discontinued offset models... and shortscales, too.

Re: Cyclone I vs. Vista Jagmaster
I love them both, but I do love Japanese necks. For whatever reason, I always like the shape of those. Cyclones are great too, but Japanese necks just have that "feel" I instantly enjoy.

Re: Cyclone I vs. Vista Jagmaster
Definitely a Squier Jagmaster from the Vista Series!
I had both.
For my the Cyclone was a horrible boring sounding guitar... Yes, looked fantastic! But the neck felt really poor... And it sounds boring for my ears..
The Vista Series had high quality, GREAT necks and a good overall feeling! I swapped the humbuckers to Jazzmaster single coils. Great.
...but at last I never liked the Strat trem system...

It starts... when it begins.

Re: Cyclone I vs. Vista Jagmaster
Having stumbled across a mint '96 Jagmaster this year had something to do with my vote. Although I did have a Cyclone HH in the mid-00's and sold it after 6 months. It just felt clunky and stiff.
I'm sure some Fender dealer in '64 looked at the new Duo-Sonic II and thought, "That's not a Duo-Sonic. That's a Mustang".

A vista offset is hard to resist. Doesn't get much better bang for the buck than that, then or now.

Re: Cyclone I vs. Vista Jagmaster
i'm going to say vista jagmaster but both are good. i think i told this story before but at one point i traded a heavily modded sg special for a cij jaguar, a vista jagmaster and a vista supersonic.

Re: Cyclone I vs. Vista Jagmaster
Keep the vista series. Had a blue jagmaster that looked awesome and sold it because at that time i was so bothered about the fretboard radius and short scale..

Re: Cyclone I vs. Vista Jagmaster
I don't like the pickguard shape on the jagmasters, that would keep me away from ever having one. Also I just love cyclones, I'd go with cyclone any day.
Jaguar > Jazzmaster :)

Re: Cyclone I vs. Vista Jagmaster
Sadly, the day I posted this thread/poll, that wonderful CAR Jagmaster that had been fs for months sold, a few minutes before I wrote to him that I'd take it.
Oh well.
Did somebody here get it...?
