Still holding on to mine. The bridge pickup is really under wound, I believe it was 5.8k or so. I like underwound Tele bridge pickups around 6k, but next to the neck position, it’s like cutting the volume nearly half when selected. This was less apparent after bringing the neck down, but I replaced the bridge pickup anyways. I’m using a Cavalier 51/52 right now but plan on taking it out. I think a Starwood Tele bridge would be a perfect match for the P90s, as it has mucho bass-o. A Cavalier Nashville or Fat Lion would likely be just as good—still keeps the twang/articulation. Apart from that, it’s my one of my favorite guitars, in large part due to the huge neck.
The price is hard to beat new. I can’t imagine paying more though. It seems they are laregly gone, only down to the dogs and heavy ones. I think a 650-700? I’m not very good at these things

Interesting. I've never kept stock pickups in a new guitar, so an underwound bridge pickup doesn't phase me.
Where did you get that gorgeous tort guard?
The seller is firm on the equivalent of $600 USD with a hardshell case and in mint condition. I'm very tempted.

Same here.
I think I'd put a Lollar Goldfoil in the neck.

I'd love to see that with a Bigsby!Debaser wrote: ↑Tue Jan 15, 2019 10:45 amStill holding on to mine. The bridge pickup is really under wound, I believe it was 5.8k or so. I have one of these, I really love everything about it. Very chunky neck as mentioned, great Tele twang but never ice picky...I think largely due to the mahogany body. I’m certain mine isn’t much over 7 pounds, maybe under...although I haven’t put it on a scale yet.

If it's really mint and the case is nice, I think that's a great price. I wouldn't hesitate if you actually like the model.
It's a nice guitar but kind of an oddity with its mahogany, tele bridge, and P-90; I don't think it would ever be at the top of my list for favorite sounding guitars, but I'm sure it could work great for some people. I set one up in true Telemaster Ace style - Twisted Tele bridge pickup and Duncan P-90 with raw nickel cover, it was interesting but too far off from my tastes.
All pain and troubles melted away like lemon drops beyond the contrails across the sky.

Looks like someone jumped on my local one before I did. Saved me from myself...at least that's what I'm telling myself until the next one comes around

Very nicely done. I’m considering a single ply tort guard for my lipstick JM project now.
