Thanks for the pointer to Wildwood. These are thick necks (the thinnest is 0.9" at the nut). Pretty heavy too. Will pass.

I didn’t see that one. It’s gone now.sunburster wrote: ↑Fri Aug 24, 2018 2:40 pmThey've got one that is 7.6 lbs. That's pretty light. The other two are over 9 lbs though.

I have one of these. I bought it from a guy who got it in Japan. I've had it for a couple of months. mine is under 8lbs. It had a 2 piece body with the seam dead center. It looks like furniture... sounds really good. $799 is a bargain for it...

Telemasters would be much more interesting if they had vibratos.

At that weight and price, I could def live with the poly finish on that guitar. It looks like a Custom Shop model.sunburster wrote: ↑Sat Aug 25, 2018 3:30 pmIt was there when I posted it. Looks like a tone machine to me. Added contours for comfort are a huge bonus as well.

Awesome guitar. Got to try one at a local shop and was really impressed, so I put down a deposit. I am usually a "C" neck type of guy, but the "U" neck on this felt perfect. Pickups sounded great, especially the neck pickup. The one I tried was average weight, not heavy at all. Everything about the guitar was on point. I have always been a fan of MIJ Fenders, aside from the questionable pickups in some of them. I was told they only made 200 of these.. I bet they go fast.

The tele twang of the hardtail is an essential ingredient, to me. Otherwise you might as well just stick a Novak JM-T in a regular JM (which I have done, and is awesome, but doesn't feel it sound like a Telecaster).
I love telemasters because they are the Fendery alternative to all those horrid TOM/stop-equipped hardtail offsets (of which I also own one, but wish it had a different bridge). It's the hardtail JM done right IMO.

Definitely much better than a TOM. Toronado was my first love though so that fits.

Um, that was probably me I sent the first one back because it was over 9 pounds. The heavy ones are probably all that's left out there in the US wild..sunburster wrote: ↑Sat Aug 25, 2018 3:30 pmIt was there when I posted it. Bumping this thread to see what people are thinking of these now that they've been out in the wild for a little while.
One popped up used locally but I'm not sure what a decent price would be considered for these?
